Networking technologies are rapidly changing and it is difficult to keep up with all the new terminology and directions. The course emphasis is on TCP/IP suite of protocols and applications. Other networking protocols, network topologies and media requirements are reviewed, along with historical milestones on the development of TCP/IP to provide perspective.

This course provides an introductory framework for the student to successfully build a foundation on which to take full advantage of a TCP/IP and internetworking environment.
